SEATTLE Jan 27 Boeing Co and its largest union stated on Friday that they had agreed on a February date for a union vote at Boeing’s jetliner manufacturing unit in South Carolina, organising what’s more likely to be a recent battle between the union and the world’s greatest airplane maker.

International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Workers spokesman Mike Evans stated about 2,850 employees on the manufacturing unit that builds 787 Dreamliners could be eligible to vote on union illustration within the Feb. 15 poll.

Boeing spokesman Doug Alder stated the corporate is “strongly encouraging all eligible teammates, roughly 3,000, to be sure to vote.” (Reporting by Alwyn Scott; Editing by Lisa Shumaker)
